Give Thanks...
What are you thankful for?
I know this term is something many people associate with Thanksgiving. But I'm changing things up a bit. You see, this will be my first Christmas back in Illinois since returning home from South Carolina earlier this year. My wife and I moved there two years ago for jobs in the news business. Don't get me wrong...the area was great. But spending the holidays away from your family is rough. It's something both my wife and I hope we never have to experience again. So this Christmas...I'm thankful for many things - good health, a great job where I like my co-workers (be honest..sometimes that is hard to come by), a very supportive wife, and a loving family.
So here's the question...What are YOU thankful for this holiday season? Please share your thoughts!

East Peoria Parade of Lights '09
My wife and I took a trip out to East Peoria this past weekend to watch the 2009 Parade of Lights. She took pictures of some of our favorites, and I thought I would share them with all of you.
Ladies and gentlemen...Santa is in the building.
Santa on a treadmill...self-explanatory I suppose.

Fire Engine - complete with real sirens!
Rudolph was a favorite among kids and adults alike.
The Polar Bear is always a personal favorite.
The U.S.S. Enterprise - a favorite of mine (Disclaimer: Not a Trekkie)
The Energizer bunny also made an appearance. He literally charged the crowd on several occasions.

Gobble Gobble, etc.
He's actually here? Are you serious???
So there was this movie this summer. It was about Transformers. It was kind of a big deal. By big...I mean the movie took in over 830 million bucks worldwide. Well, we actually have one of those Transformers (Bumblebee) right now on our lot. You can ask him to transform for you. He may or may not do it. I've asked several times since he arrived...he may just be ignoring me at this point. He's still awesome to gawk at. I even took him for a test drive, and I was not disappointed. Don't miss your chance to take a test drive before he's gone for good. Call (309) 347-3101 today!

The Season of Giving
Ray Dennison Chevrolet is partnering with the Neighborhood House of Peoria to usher in the spirit of giving. Stop by the dealership and drop off a new or gently-used toy for the children of Central Illinois. Help make this holiday season a little more special for the kids who need it the most. Hope to see you soon!
Black Friday 2009: Preparing for Battle
Another Black Friday is fast approaching. This Friday, millions will wake up, put on their war paint, and brave the crowds at the biggest retailers in hopes of finding that perfect gift for someone in their family. I will not be joining them. Did it once...never again. But I have included links to some great sites that may help those of you who are preparing to do battle when Friday morning rolls around.
